Business blogging is on the rise, and that’s not all that’s changing! Let’s take a look at the latest trends…
Our experience of B2B blogging.
We know a thing or two about blogging for business — it’s one of our key services, which we’ve provided for over ten years now. And, to stay on top of our game, it’s important that we keep up with trends.
So what does business blogging look like in 2017? Let us paint you a picture (not really, but, you know)…
Business blogging trends in 2017.
Longish titles are the most popular.
According to HubSpot, titles that are 6-13 words long attract the most traffic. And that’s something we’ve seen in our metrics, too. Popular titles say enough to entice people to click through, but not so much that potential readers get bored.
The more blog, the better.
On average, business blogs that perform the best (according to Google rankings) are between 1,140-1,285 words long. It’s the kind of length you need to really explore a topic and get across a compelling point, so we can see why this is a trend. This doesn’t mean there isn’t a place for shorter blogs, just that aiming high (so to speak) is a good idea.
Like the food, organic search is getting ever more popular with your clients and customers. Around 70-80 per cent of users ignore paid ads on Google. This means that blogs have to be better optimised for SEO, if they want to get those organic clicks. Think keywords, links, helpful content — all that good stuff.
Business blogs are the future for B2B.
B2B businesses are blogging more than ever. In fact, B2B blogs are now more numerous than B2C blogs. So, if you’re not already involved, what are you waiting for? Start creating a business blog now, before your competition beats you to it.
